Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaka Prawira (ranked 2896 p4p, 4603 weight class) and Thomas Davis (ranked 236 p4p, 301 weight class). Davis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Not like us. Thomas Davis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaka Prawira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Davis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prawira ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.
Prawira tries for a takedown but Davis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Davis unleashes a big counter combination but Prawira bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Prawira looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Despite the aggression on Davis's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Prawira throws a combination that misses
and Davis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Prawira shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis slips a jab and a cross from Prawira.

Prawira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Davis is trying to defend but Prawira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Prawira stalling away here and it's allowed Davis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prawira accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Prawira is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Davis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Davis has escaped and now he's on top!

Prawira is looking for a triangle here but Davis uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

You can see the frustration on Prawira's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Davis stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Prawira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Davis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Davis bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Prawira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Davis has one foot on Prawira's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Prawira throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Prawira is in Davis's guard.

Davis has his feet on Prawira's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Prawira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davis as he jumps to the side.

I would just about give that final round to Thomas Davis.
Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jaka Prawira spoke after the fight, saying 'This is not a loss, it's just a lesson on how to get better'.
