Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yin Mao (ranked 1409 p4p, 2113 weight class) and Alkandros Vasilios (ranked 153 p4p, 215 weight class). Mao comes to the cage accompanied by HonestKey- Pass. Yin Mao could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alkandros Vasilios's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilios sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Vasilios misses with a takedown attempt - Mao sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vasilios fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vasilios shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mao's guard.

Mao has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vasilios can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mao definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

It looks like Vasilios might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vasilios takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Vasilios's coach down at Ragnarok\'s Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vasilios's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mao moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Vasilios takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Vasilios shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mao pinned against the cage. Mao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vasilios is defended easily by Mao.
Mao looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

A looping hook to the body misses from Vasilios. Mao does a little dance to reset his feet.

Vasilios had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mao defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mao lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Alkandros Vasilios has been cut.
Mao connects with a high kick.
Mao misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mao darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Mao just misses with a punch to the body.
Mao throws a chopping leg kick but Vasilios manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mao lands a big head kick that sends Vasilios tumbling to the mat! Mao takes a step backwards and waves Vasilios back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Vasilios works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Vasilios seems to have recovered his senses.

Vasilios shoots in for a takedown but Mao shows good takedown defense.
As Vasilios looks to move away, Mao throws a big counter combo but Vasilios just gets out of the way.
Mao takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mao throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vasilios.
Vasilios takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That has opened up Alkandros Vasilios's cut even more.

and Mao counters with a crisp one two that drops Vasilios! Mao thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Vasilios to his feet! Vasilios is in big trouble!

Mao cracks Vasilios with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mao has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Vasilios to stand back up!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mao walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Vasilios checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mao cracks Vasilios with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vasilios swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vasilios takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Vasilios drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mao has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Vasilios has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Mao is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Vasilios is leaning against Mao and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Mao breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab lands there for Mao.
Mao swings for the body but Vasilios moves out of range.
Vasilios changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Mao tests Vasilios's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The cut above Alkandros Vasilios's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mao! Vasilios is out on his feet! Mao rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Vasilios is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Vasilios is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yin Mao!
Our winner, Yin Mao, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
