Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arturito Tampukpuk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 25 - 0, fighting out of New York, Salyn Sarethi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tampukpuk misses with a straight right.
Sarethi tests Tampukpuk's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sarethi gets tackled into the cage by Tampukpuk. Tampukpuk maintains the clinch.
Tampukpuk wants a takedown but no success here.
Sarethi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tampukpuks head.
A head punch on the inside from Sarethi fails to land.
Sarethi lands with a left to the head.
Sarethi misses with the head strike.
Tampukpuk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sarethi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Tampukpuk is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sarethi can't fight it off and eventually Tampukpuk manages to take the fight to the floor. Sarethi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sarethi manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Sarethi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sarethi prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tampukpuk fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Tampukpuk is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sarethi is just riding it out for now. Tampukpuk eventually gives up the hold.
Sarethi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tampukpuk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tampukpuk trying to mount his opponent but Sarethi defends it.
Tampukpuk stalling away here and it's allowed Sarethi to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Sarethi can't keep his opponent in guard - Tampukpuk advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Tampukpuk is just content to waste time from the top position. Sarethi takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Tampukpuk checks a leg kick.
Sarethi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sarethi. Tampukpuk does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice defenses there by Tampukpuk.
Sarethi throws a hook to the side of Tampukpuk's head but Tampukpuk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tampukpuk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Arturito Tampukpuk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sarethi lands a nice looking body shot.
Tampukpuk moves into the clinch successfully.
Tampukpuk blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Tampukpuk tries for a takedown but Sarethi manages to get underhooks.
Sarethi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tampukpuk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sarethi smiles and moves away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sarethi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tampukpuk has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tampukpuk and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Sarethi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tampukpuk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sarethi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sarethi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tampukpuk.
Tampukpuk moves into the clinch successfully.
Tampukpuk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sarethi pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sarethi misses with the head strike.
Tampukpuk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Tampukpuk pushes down on Sarethi's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Tampukpuk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Tampukpuk tries to pass to full mount but Sarethi defends it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sarethi manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Tampukpuk walks into a left hand.
Sarethi throws a leg kick that is checked
and Tampukpuk counters with a takedown into side control.
Tampukpuk tries to advance to mount but Sarethi denies him.
Tampukpuk goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sarethi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tampukpuk's guard! Nice work there by Sarethi!
Tampukpuk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sarethi defends it easily.
Tampukpuk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tampukpuk looking for a sweep. Not yet Tampukpuk, not yet.
Arturito Tampukpuk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tampukpuk seems keen to control Sarethi's posture.
Sarethi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sarethi wants to stand but Tampukpuk has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tampukpuk isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sarethi stacks Tampukpuk on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sarethi!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Salyn Sarethi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Sarethi thuds his shin into the meat of Tampukpuk's side.
Tampukpuk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tampukpuk thuds his right hand into Sarethi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sarethi gets caught flat footed, as Tampukpuk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Sarethi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tampukpuk is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tampukpuk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sarethi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tampukpuk wants to control but Sarethi is keeping busy.
Tampukpuk is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Sarethi is tapping! Great win for Tampukpuk!
