Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean Jacques Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matto Luuttu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado's entrance music is Sound Of Madness - Shinedown. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luuttu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machado as he jumps to the side.

Machado closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Luuttu wants to improve his position but Machado is controlling well.

Machado is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Luuttu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Machado.
Machado works his foot free and advances to mount.
Luuttu tries to hold on but Machado pushes him away.

Machado goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Luuttu is on top in guard.
Luuttu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Luuttu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machado swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Machado has his foot on Luuttu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Luuttu works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Machado can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Luuttu controls the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Machado misses with a takedown
and Luuttu counters with a stiff right hand.

Luuttu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Machado manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Machado has an active guard here but Luuttu has managed to pass into half guard.
Machado is breathing heavily.
Machado tries to roll over but Luuttu keeps him under control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Machado wants to get back to his feet.

A close round but Matto Luuttu will probably get the nod.

Luuttu throws a right and a left that Machado avoids nicely.

Luuttu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Luuttu showed some decent athleticism there.
Machado tries to kick Luuttu off but Luuttu keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Machado is looking for a sweep. Luuttu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Machado is not content to let Luuttu control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Luuttu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Machado is looking for a triangle here but Luuttu uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Machado is looking to regain half guard here but Luuttu keeps moving and retains side control.
Machado is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Luuttu is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Luuttu looking to control but Machado is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Machado sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Machado is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Luuttu pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
