Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Darwin (ranked 1276 p4p, 2280 weight class) and Rodrigo Caceres (ranked 175 p4p, 294 weight class). Rodrigo Caceres told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Darwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodrigo Caceres!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caceres shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Caceres showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caceres is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Darwin defends it well.
Darwin wants to control but Caceres is keeping busy.
Darwin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Darwin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caceres is working away from the top position though.
Darwin is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caceres tries to pass the half guard into mount. Darwin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Caceres trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Darwin working for a triangle but Caceres defends it easily.
Darwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Darwin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Caceres is posturing up here but Darwin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Caceres tries to roll out but it's too tight and Caceres has to tap! Slick submission there by Darwin!

James Darwin tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
