The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ship tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mahmut was well out of range. Poor timing from Ship.
Mahmut throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mahmut scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Roman Ship has been cut.
Ship scores with a hook to the body. Mahmut takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ship connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mahmut fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ship on the side of the head.
A swing and a miss from Ship.
Sheikh Mahmut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That has opened up Roman Ship's cut even more.

Ship just misses with a punch to the body.
Ship dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Ship swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mahmut.
Ship jabs Mahmut right on the nose. Mahmut blinks but takes it well.
Mahmut on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ship connects with a body shot that sends Mahmut's belly button to the back.

A looping hook to the body misses from Ship. Mahmut does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ship blocks a jab.
Mahmut throws a series of punches but Ship moves out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ship misses with a straight left.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mahmut darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The cut above Roman Ship's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sheikh Mahmut is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ship just misses with a punch to the body.
Mahmut throws a hook to the side of Ship's head but Ship sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ship fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A shot to the body from Ship misses
and Mahmut scores with a counter punch that sends Ship to the canvas! Mahmut smells blood - he's punishing Ship with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ship has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sheikh Mahmut!
Sheikh Mahmut made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'There was something about that guys face, you just wanted to beat the hell out of it. He can't get any uglier so why not. Praise Allah Akbar!!!!'.
