The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kersikov stuffs the takedown attempt from Njagi. Njagi gets slowly back to his feet.
Njagi darts in looking for a takedown but Kersikov gets double underhooks and turns Njagi into the cage.
Njagi fails to land the takedown.
Bogdan Kersikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abasi Njagi.
Njagi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kersikov as he avoids it easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Kersikov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Njagi is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
Kersikov wants to sweep but no luck.
Njagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Kersikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Njagi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kersikov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kersikov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Njagi trying to control but Kersikov is working from the bottom.
