Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Hughes!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Savs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hughes stuffs the takedown attempt from Savs. Savs gets slowly back to his feet.
Savs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hughes swivels and escapes.

Hughes shoots in and bounces Savs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hughes trying to control the position from guard on top but Savs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hughes stands up over Savs, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hughes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hughes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Savs, up you get!
Savs fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hughes on the side of the head.

It looks like Rob Hughes has been cut.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hughes lands a nice short elbow.
Savs trying to hold on to Hughes's head to control him but Hughes postures up.
Savs is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Savs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Savs tries to get out of the position.
Hughes passes to full mount!

Savs is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hughes lands a big elbow.
Savs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hughes on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Savs tries to lock up and control but Hughes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Savs is breathing heavily.

Hughes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Savs's face.

The referee warns Savs that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
