This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 24 wins and 13 losses; Francisco Ngannou! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 5 losses; Elim Garak! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Garak has closed the distance and engaged Ngannou in a clinch.
Ngannou pulls guard. Ngannou keeping full guard, as Garak tries to pass. Ngannou trying to control the position here. Ngannou looking to hit a scissor sweep but Garak is one step ahead there. Ngannou is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garak is not going to allow Ngannou to sit and survive in this position. Ngannou staying busy and making it hard for Garak to control. Garak biding his time, looking for the opening.
Ngannou is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Freddy\'s Grappling Institute, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Ngannou wants to sweep but no luck. Ngannou looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Garak puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Ngannou is concentrating on defense, preventing Garak from advancing position. Ngannou tries to roll over but Garak keeps him under control. Ngannou won't allow Garak to pass to mount. Ngannou is trying to get back to full guard. Ngannou controlling the position well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round.
