The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Chai fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Chai looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kersikov is fending him off so far but Chai persists. Nope, Kersikov circles away and we're back to standing. Chai scores with a takedown into Kersikov's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Kersikov (0) vs (2) Chai Kersikov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chai is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kersikov is controlling Chai's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kersikov preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Kersikov tries to roll over but Chai keeps him under control. Chai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kersikov keeps working.

Kersikov is looking for a sweep. Chai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chai taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! Kersikov has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position! He's got it! Chai has tapped! Great work by Kersikov!
