The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Hughes wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving.
Hughes is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mack is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Mack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hughes's guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Hughes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mack defends it easily.
Mack is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mack wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving.
Hughes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mack stays in close to Hughes's body and controls the position.
Hughes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hughes is on top in guard.

Hughes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hughes has managed to get both his arms back between Mack's legs - danger averted.

Hughes paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Mack - great work!
