And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 26 wins and 37 losses; Filmore Everett! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.

The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Everett manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Shart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Everett keeps working. Everett tries to roll over but Shart keeps him under control. Everett is refusing to be controlled, as Shart sits in half guard. That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Everett wants to hold on but Shart pushes him away. Shart prevents Everett from getting the reversal. Shart content just to control the position here. Shart goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Everett is on top in guard.
Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Shart (8) vs (6) Everett Everett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shart swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shart trying to keep a closed guard but Everett is proving a slippery customer.
Everett must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
