Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 5153 p4p, 4225 weight class) and George Wilder (ranked 220 p4p, 202 weight class). Wilder has chosen The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice as his entrance music. The key to victory for George Steele has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, George Wilder! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Steele gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wilder scoring with some ground and pound. Wilder is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Steele has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Steele has control of Wilder's left arm, preventing Wilder from doing any damage. Wilder stands and throws Steele's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wilder lands a decent elbow from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steele avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wilder. Wilder scores with punches from side control. Wilder misses with the ground and pound. Wilder trying to control the action but Steele is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Wilder are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Wilder working the head with strikes. Wilder throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Steele being controlled for a moment. Wilder is chipping away with strikes.
Steele takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wilder lands a strong strike to the head of Steele. That's dazed him! Wilder looking to finish here. Steele is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Wilder lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Wilder! George Wilder very nearly forgot to thank Squirrel Sportswear 🐿️ amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
