Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Giles (ranked 4383 p4p, 25131 weight class) and Ben Everett (ranked 450 p4p, 524 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Giles might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Beckham. Ben Everett has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dustin Giles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dustin Giles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Everett!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Giles as he avoids it easily.
Giles is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Everett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Giles is breathing heavily.

Giles gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Everett to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Giles working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Everett.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Giles is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett stands and throws Giles's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee asks Everett politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Everett prefers to stall for the moment though.
Everett trying to control the position but Giles is working away.
Everett in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Everett wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Giles, who protects the arm well.
Everett staying calm.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Everett advances nicely into full mount.
Everett scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Everett landing shots from mount.
Everett looking to control and managing it successfully.

Everett works his way to his opponent's back.
Everett controls the action.
Everett scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Giles is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Everett gets his way!
Everett is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Everett is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Giles up.
Everett biding his time, looking for the opening.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Everett is punishing Giles with some ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Everett dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Everett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Everett forces Giles back against the cage and clinches.
Giles tries to pull guard but Everett won't allow it.

Everett has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Giles regains guard immediately.
Everett wants to control from the top but Giles keeps moving.
Everett is looking to work some ground and pound but Giles has wrist control.
Everett has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett tries to free his leg and advance position but Giles is retaining full guard.
Everett is working Giles over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Everett keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Giles's head.
Everett trying to control but Giles is working from the bottom.

Giles isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Everett stacks Giles on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Everett!
Giles is trying to escape the position but Everett is controlling the position.
Ben Everett has got the better of the ground game so far.
Everett is putting a hurting on Giles here, landing some big shots from side control.

Everett is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Giles has escaped the position, nice work there.

Everett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Giles keeps working.
Giles is trying to improve his position.
Everett wants to stand but Giles has his arm trapped.

Giles takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Everett trying to control the position but Giles is working away.
Giles definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Everett lands a decent elbow from side control.
Everett is looking to take a break and control but Giles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Everett is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Everett tries to stand but Giles is controlling his head.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Everett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Giles's waist but Giles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Everett off to one side.
Giles is looking for a counter combo.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Everett goes for a double leg but Giles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Giles continues to drive forward.
Dustin Giles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Everett.

Everett gets the takedown into side control.
Everett is chipping away with strikes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Everett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Giles avoids the body shot from Everett.

Everett shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Everett winds up and cracks Giles with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Everett content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Giles is defending against the submission attempts here by Everett.

Everett is taking a breather. Giles says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Everett seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Everett is working for a submission of some sort.
Everett scoring with strikes to the body and head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, if Everett is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Giles on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Giles tries to get out of the position.
Everett is continuing to stall.
Everett tries to stand and escape but Giles is controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Everett looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Everett works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Giles won't allow Everett to pass to mount.
Everett working over Giles with some ground and pound. Giles looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Everett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Giles is in trouble now - Everett has advanced to mount!

Everett controlling the pace for now.

Everett working for a submission but Giles is keeping him at bay.

Everett lands a nice shot to the head.

Ben Everett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Everett winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
