Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phil St. Georges (ranked 2219 p4p, 2536 weight class) and Jeryl Christ (ranked 133 p4p, 151 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Phil St. Georges has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Phil St. Georges seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil St. Georges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeryl Christ! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christ misses with an uppercut. St. Georges saw that one coming. St. Georges shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Christ sprawls well. Christ wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. St. Georges gets slowly back to his feet. We've been hearing reports that St. Georges has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. St. Georges shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jeryl Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christ fails with an attempt to clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Phil St. Georges will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Christ catches St. Georges with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Christ tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Both fighters circling a little - Christ finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Christ is looking to clinch. Christ buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
St. Georges moves out of range as Christ strikes. St. Georges has a takedown stuffed. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Christ tries to bum rush St. Georges with a series of wild strikes but St. Georges uses good footwork to avoid the assault. St. Georges throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Christ's waist but Christ gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing St. Georges off to one side. Christ tries to clinch but St. Georges moves out of range. Christ throws a low kick, looking for St. Georges's leg but St. Georges calmly moves out of range. St. Georges half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Jeryl Christ is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. St. Georges looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. St. Georges not doing much here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. St. Georges has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Christ bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps St. Georges's head backwards.
