Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Hernandez (ranked 3505 p4p, 3399 weight class) and John Parry (ranked 396 p4p, 389 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Geraldo Hernandez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Parry! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parry fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hernandez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parry's half guard. Hernandez thows a huge punch but Parry dodges it nicely.
Hernandez prevents Parry from improving his position. Parry is still trying to improve position. Parry is trying to maintain the position but Hernandez is very close to passing his half guard. Hernandez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hernandez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hernandez is nestled in close to Parry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hernandez sitting and controlling from the half guard. Parry is rocked! Hernandez breaks from Parry's wrist control and lands an elbow. Parry is still in real trouble! Can Hernandez finish him? Hernandez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Parry can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
