Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 5558 p4p, 3003 weight class) and Magomed Magomedsharipov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei comes into the arena with Mama Said Knock You Out blaring out of the sound system. Magomed Magomedsharipov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Magomed Magomedsharipov!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Magomedsharipov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lei looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Magomedsharipov sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Magomedsharipov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Magomedsharipov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Lei is rocked!
Magomedsharipov is stalling in the full guard.
Oh Lei is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magomedsharipov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lei's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Magomedsharipov arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lei's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Magomed Magomedsharipov!
In defeat, Frito Lei stepped up to the mic, saying 'I need a drink!'.
