Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Flip De Floor (ranked 2778 p4p, 1934 weight class) and Hulk Smash (ranked 317 p4p, 222 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Flip De Floor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hulk Smash!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Floor takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smash takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
De Floor scores with a push kick.
De Floor avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Smash steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from De Floor. That one must have hurt.
De Floor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
De Floor thumps Smash with a low kick.
De Floor misses with a low kick.
Smash takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Smash misses with a straight left.
De Floor jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Smash closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smash lands in his opponent's guard.
Smash looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
De Floor looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Smash wants to control from the top but De Floor keeps moving.
De Floor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smash is one step ahead there.
Smash is looking to work some ground and pound but De Floor has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smash throws a strike but De Floor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Smash has a closed guard, preventing De Floor from standing up.
Smash looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Floor is one step ahead there.
De Floor tries to stand but Smash is controlling from the bottom.

De Floor trying to control the position from guard on top but Smash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Smash wants to stand up but De Floor is controlling him.
De Floor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
De Floor wants to control from the top but Smash keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
De Floor throws a leg kick that is checked

and Smash decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De Floor's guard.
De Floor is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Smash dives into side control.

De Floor is trying to improve his position.
Smash working the body and head with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
De Floor is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
De Floor trying to control but Smash postures up.
Smash trying to control the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
De Floor tries to get to full guard but Smash has control of the leg.
Smash lands strikes from half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Smash with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Flip De Floor will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

De Floor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Flip De Floor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smash shoots in and drives through. De Floor sprawls well.
Smash walks into a stiff left hand from De Floor.
A swing and a miss from Smash.
De Floor connects with an inside leg kick.

De Floor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Smash is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
De Floor throws a jab but it's blocked by Smash.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from De Floor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Floor looks to throw the jab but Smash is out of range.

De Floor uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smash.
Smash rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and De Floor counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
De Floor throws a looping overhand right but Smash ducks down to avoid it.

Smash thuds a left hand into De Floor's body.
A big right from Smash misses.
De Floor avoids the body shot from Smash.
De Floor quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Smash shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Floor's guard.
Smash wants to control from the top but De Floor keeps moving.
Smash passes into half guard.
De Floor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
De Floor trying to get back to full guard but Smash takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Smash trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Smash thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
De Floor tries to hold on but Smash pushes him away.
De Floor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Smash is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Floor is in all sorts of trouble here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Flip De Floor has been cut.
Smash trying to control but De Floor is having none of it.

De Floor wants to control but Smash is having none of it.
Smash can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as De Floor is looking to escape.
Smash landing strikes from the mount.
De Floor is in all sorts of trouble here.
De Floor is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

De Floor avoids a series of strikes thrown by Smash.
Smash wants to control the pace but De Floor is squirming around nicely.
The referee warns De Floor that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
De Floor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De Floor tries to get out of the position.
Smash breaks from De Floor's wrist control and lands an elbow.
De Floor keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
De Floor is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Smash scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish De Floor?
Smash takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hulk Smash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

De Floor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smash.
Smash on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
De Floor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
De Floor looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
De Floor looks to land a body kick but Smash moved away.

and Smash makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

De Floor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Smash manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smash tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
De Floor lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
De Floor stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A head kick from De Floor lands but Smash takes it in his stride.

De Floor tries to clinch up but Smash circles away and keeps his distance.
Smash feints the counter takedown.

and Smash counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

De Floor is trying to control the position but Smash postures up.

De Floor avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smash.
De Floor wants to control but Smash is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Smash is just content to waste time from the top position. De Floor takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Smash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. De Floor manages to get himself to full guard.

Smash sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed De Floor's guard.
Smash prevents De Floor from standing back up.
De Floor is staying active underneath Smash, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
De Floor wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
De Floor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smash is working away from the top position though.
Smash looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Flip De Floor.
I think De Floor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
