And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Desmond!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desmond closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garcia circles away.
Desmond throws a right and a left that Garcia avoids nicely.
Max Desmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Garcia misses.
Garcia takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Desmond throws a shot to the body.
Garcia takes one on the button.
Garcia takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

and Garcia counters with a three punch combo that has Desmond backing up. Desmond nods at Garcia to acknowledge the strikes.

Desmond throws an overhand right that lands on Garcia's shoulder, as Garcia tries to avoid the shot.
Desmond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garcia circles away quickly and effectively.
Desmond darts in looking for a takedown but Garcia gets double underhooks and turns Desmond into the cage.
It looked like Garcia was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Francisco Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Desmond.
Desmond throws a right and a left that both miss.

Desmond moves into the clinch successfully.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Desmond has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Garcia after a bit of a struggle.

Garcia unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Desmond! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Garcia is unloading with more strikes now! Desmond drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
