Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Crash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Nielsen! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Crash throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice sprawl there from Crash as Nielsen shoots in. Crash tries a head kick but it misses.
Nielsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crash's waist but Crash gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nielsen off to one side. Nielsen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Crash. Crash throws a shot from downtown. Nielsen moves away and avoids it. Some wild striking there from Crash.
Crash just misses with a punch to the body.
Nielsen rushes Crash and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Nielsen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Nielsen content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Crash wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nielsen has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nielsen jumps guard but Crash stands there with Nielsen around his waist. Nielsen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Michael Crash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Nielsen. Nielsen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nielsen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Crash just stands there and leans against the cage. Nielsen keeps control of Crash as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Crash misses with an uppercut. Michael Crash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crash scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Michael Crash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nielsen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crash.
Crash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nielsen slips a jab and a cross from Crash.
Crash looks to score with a jab to the body but Nielsen is just out of range. Crash swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nielsen is looking to land body kicks. Nielsen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nielsen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nielsen works his way into side control. Crash is trying to buck Nielsen off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crash is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nielsen tries to move to mount but Crash blocks the move with his legs. Nielsen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crash is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nielsen wants to control but Crash is keeping him busy. Crash is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nielsen asserts his dominance and retains side control. Nielsen trying to control the position but Crash is working away. Crash is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Crash tries a head kick but it misses.
Nielsen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Crash looks to throw the jab but Nielsen is out of range. Crash lands a head kick. Nielsen smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Nielsen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Crash wants to stand back up but Nielsen manages to pass into side control.
Nielsen is putting a hurting on Crash here, landing some big shots from side control. Nielsen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nielsen scoring with punches from side control. Nielsen tries for a kimura but Crash is defending well. Crash manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nielsen's best efforts. Crash is staying active underneath Nielsen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nielsen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Crash gets back to full guard.
Nielsen trying to control the position from guard on top but Crash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Richard Nielsen will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nielsen shoots for a double leg takedown but Crash sprawls well. He's pushed Nielsen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Nielsen with that takedown attempt. Crash moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Nielsen goes down! Can Crash finish him!?
Nielsen is rocked! Crash postures up.
Nielsen is still in real trouble! Can Crash finish him? A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crash decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nielsen, up you get! Nielsen seems to have recovered his senses. Michael Crash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Crash punishes Nielsen's body with a nice straight punch. No joy there for Crash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nielsen tries to clinch but Crash moves out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nielsen misses with a leg kick. Nielsen moves forwards but Crash connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left and a right from Crash both land. Nice combination. Nielsen shoots in but no luck this time. Michael Crash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Nielsen. No luck for Nielsen with that takedown attempt. Nielsen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nielsen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nielsen. Nielsen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nielsen slips under a jab from Crash. Nielsen clinches up with Crash and pushes him back against the cage. Nielsen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crash pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nielsen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crash walks away with a smile on his face. Nielsen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Crash misses with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nielsen ducks under a wild hook from Crash. Nielsen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Crash misses with a double jab.
Crash throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Nielsen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nielsen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Crash. Some wild striking there from Crash.
Nielsen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nielsen showed some decent athleticism there. Crash trying to hold on to Nielsen's head to control him but Nielsen postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nielsen moves into full mount! Crash won't be happy about that! Crash is trying to escape the mount.
Crash is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
You get the feeling that Crash really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Crash tries to lock up and control but Nielsen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nielsen is standing up, even though he is in mount. Nielsen fails with a takedown attempt. Nielsen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Nielsen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. You can see the frustration on Crash's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Crash is looking for a sweep. Nielsen decides to take the fight back to the feet. Crash connects with the punch. Nielsen dodges the punch combination from Crash.
Crash fails to land with a series of punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crash keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Crash looks to land a combination. Nielsen sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Crash dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Crash postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nielsen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Crash, into his guard. Crash has his foot on Nielsen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nielsen works his way back into a safe position though. Nielsen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Nielsen chips away with some ground and pound. Nielsen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crash is striking from the bottom but Nielsen uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Nielsen prevents Crash from improving his position. Nielsen passes to full mount! Nielsen scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Crash sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Crash is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crash gets back to full guard.
Crash is looking for a triangle here but Nielsen uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Nielsen trying to control the position but Crash is working away. Nielsen tries to advance to mount but can't. Crash wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Crash is looking for a sweep.

Crash is trying to break the clinch but Nielsen has him pressed against the cage. Nielsen jumps guard but Crash stands there with Nielsen around his waist. Nielsen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Crash is pressed up against the cage. Nielsen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Crash down to the mat. Crash avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crash tests Nielsen's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nielsen looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Crash lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nielsen!
And that's the end of the fight! Richard Nielsen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Nielsen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
