Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jin Matsushima (ranked 788 p4p, 1399 weight class) and Finley Nielsen (ranked 80 p4p, 146 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Jin Matsushima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Finley Nielsen! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nielsen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nielsen misses with an attempted head punch from side control. An elbow from Nielsen crashes against the mat.
Sloppy strikes there by Nielsen. Matsushima being controlled for a moment. Matsushima is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nielsen is controlling him well. Matsushima trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nielsen in side control, throwing shots but Matsushima defends. Matsushima taking a bit of punishment here - Nielsen scoring with strikes. Nielsen working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Nielsen in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ground and pound from Nielsen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Nielsen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Nielsen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Matsushima, who protects the arm well. Nielsen wants to control but Matsushima is keeping him busy. Nielsen lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nielsen landing strikes. Nielsen scores with a couple of short elbows. Nielsen working the head with strikes. Nielsen misses with the ground and pound. Nielsen cracks Matsushima with a big elbow. Nielsen scores with punches from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsushima takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The strikes coming from Nielsen are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Nielsen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Matsushima sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Nielsen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Nielsen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Sloppy strikes there by Nielsen. Nielsen is looking to take a break and control but Matsushima is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nielsen scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Matsushima to see if he's OK. Matsushima takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nielsen is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Matsushima is trying to escape and Nielsen transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Matsushima is forced to tap! Nice work there by Nielsen! Very nice indeed!
