Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 4237 p4p, 24489 weight class) and Andreas Jes (ranked 463 p4p, 546 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Andreas Jes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuri Boyka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andreas Jes!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jes lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A jab from Jes finds it's way through Boyka's defenses.
A punch lands to the side of Boyka 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Boyka walks into a stiff left hand from Jes.
Boyka misses with the body kick
and Jes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A big left from Boyka misses.
Boyka throws a jab but it's blocked by Jes.
Jes lands with a shot to the body.
Jes avoids a kick to the body.
Boyka drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Boyka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jes avoids the body shot from Boyka.
Jes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jes lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick misses from Boyka.
Jes lands with an uppercut that bounces Boyka off the cage and back into range.
Boyka tries to move into range but Jes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyka misses with an uppercut.
Nice straight punches there by Jes. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jes.
Boyka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jes finds it's way round the side to connect with Boyka's head.
Jes cracks Boyka with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jes is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Jes misses with a body shot.
Boyka with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jes lands a right hook to the body.
Boyka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jes jabs Boyka to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jes is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Boyka had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Jes connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Boyka on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice uppercut there from Jes.
Boyka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jes connects with a nice looking jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Boyka takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
A shot to the liver by Jes. Beautiful body shot.
Jes has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Boyka takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jes jabs Boyka right on the nose. Boyka blinks but takes it well.
Jes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice shot lands for Jes.
Nice uppercut lands for Jes. That snapped Boyka's head back.
Boyka is rocked!
Jes drops Boyka with a huge uppercut! Boyka drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Jes is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andreas Jes!
