Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23360 p4p, 23343 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 46 - 65 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 49 - 62 - 10, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salvacion did well to prevent Amiga getting side control. Salvacion desperately trying to maintain half guard. Amiga keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Amiga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion blocking the ground and pound attempt from Amiga. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Salvacion trying to get back to full guard but Amiga takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Amiga looking to control and managing it successfully. Salvacion flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Salvacion tries to hold on but Amiga pushes him away. Salvacion might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Amiga haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Amiga looking to control and managing it successfully.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Salvacion because Amiga loaded up on that one. Salvacion is squirming around, avoiding Amiga's attempts to control the action. Salvacion is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Amiga controlling his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion wants to hold on but Amiga pushes him away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gakus Amiga dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Amiga fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Amiga shoots and misses and Salvacion makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Amiga really felt that one! Amiga tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Salvacion defends well and Amiga ends up having to push Salvacion into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Salvacion is looking for the big counter here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gakus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Salvacion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Salvacion napping and manages to drive through into side control! Amiga throws a strike aimed at the side of Salvacion's head but Salvacion avoids it well. The referee asks Amiga politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Amiga prefers to stall for the moment though. Salvacion tries to improve position but can't. Amiga working the ground and pound but Salvacion is defending the strikes. Amiga wants to control for a moment but Salvacion uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is trying is best to control the position here. Amiga takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Salvacion shoots for a takedown but Amiga saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Amiga sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there. Salvacion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amiga but Amiga pushes him off and we're back to square one.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nice sprawl there from Salvacion as Amiga shoots in. Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well. Amiga shoots in looking for a takedown but Salvacion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Amiga's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Salvacion counters with a body kick. Salvacion goes for a double leg but Amiga avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Amiga continues to drive forward.
Amiga closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Salvacion's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga won't allow Salvacion to sweep him here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gakus Amiga dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Amiga gets caught flat footed, as Salvacion shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Salvacion's corner is telling him to maintain position. Amiga is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Salvacion trying to control but Amiga is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga tries to land a sweep but no joy.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Salvacion postures up in Amiga's guard and throws a big left but Amiga blocks it. Salvacion postures up.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Salvacion looking to score a takedown here. Amiga is defending well but Salvacion drives through and ends up in Amiga's guard.
Amiga wriggles free and stands up. Amiga moves in looking to clinch but Salvacion pushes him off.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salvacion. Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Amiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amiga wants it to stay on the feet.
Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Amiga's guard. Salvacion takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Amiga has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage. Gakus Amiga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Further stalling from Amiga. Helen Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gakus Amiga is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Salvacion slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Helen Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
