Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23327 p4p, 23280 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 62 - 12, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 58 - 50 - 12, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sapi throws the kick towards the body but Mibangon avoids it.
Sapi shoots for a double leg takedown but Mibangon sprawls well. He's pushed Sapi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Mibangon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sapi defends it nicely.
Despite the aggression on Sapi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mibangon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Sapi is looking for a sweep. Mibangon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sapi is holding on to half guard well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mibangon in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mibangon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mibangon passes into side control, despite Sapi's attempt to control the position.

Sapi has one of Mibangon's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
You can see the frustration on Sapi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sapi or perhaps it was just good defense by Mibangon, which made it look bad.
Mibangon throws a big counter combination but Sapi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mibangon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sapi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mibangon defends it nicely.
Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Sapi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mibangon wants to sweep but no luck.

Mibangon is pulling down on Sapi's head. It's preventing any offense from Sapi, at least for the moment.

Sapi throwing strikes but missing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mibangon is controlling Sapi's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sapi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sapi slows the pace down in half guard.
Mibangon is trying to maintain the position but Sapi is very close to passing his half guard.
Sapi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mibangon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sapi passes Mibangon's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mibangon is trying is best to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sapi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wala Sapi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sapi fails with a takedown attempt.
Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Mibangon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sapi leaves Mibangon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mibangon shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mibangon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sapi.
Mibangon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sapi's waist but Sapi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mibangon off to one side.
Sapi steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mibangon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sapi wants to control but Mibangon postures up.
Mibangon happy to just control the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sapi regains half guard.
Mibangon is stalling here. Sapi is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mibangon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sapi has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Mibangon wants to control but Sapi postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Wala Sapi.
Well Sapi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
