The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Everett moves into range and clinches up with Kraag.

Everett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Everett is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kraag has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Everett is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kraag is surviving well by controlling Everett's body position as best he can.

Everett seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kraag for as long as he can get away with.
Kraag wants to hold on but Everett pushes him away.
Everett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kraag might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Everett haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Everett avoids the attempt from Kraag to control.

Everett working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kraag turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Everett off and cradles Kraag's limp body as Everett celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Filmore Everett!
Filmore Everett really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that The Huntington New Age Wellness Community logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
