Prescott kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Negative Creep - Nirvana . The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prescott fails in his attempt to clinch.
Prescott's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hidaka under the eye.
Prescott tries to clinch but Hidaka moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Hidaka.

Hidaka uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Prescott.

Prescott keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hidaka's efforts to push away.

Hidaka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Prescott avoids the head kick by Hidaka.
Prescott swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hidaka lands a nice shot that snaps Prescott's head back.
Prescott looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hidaka blocks a head kick by Prescott.
Hidaka misses with an uppercut. Prescott saw that one coming.
Hidaka's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Prescott connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hidaka scrambles back to his feet.
Prescott tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Prescott backing away here, and Hidaka unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Hidaka throws a push kick but Prescott slaps the foot to one side.

Prescott looks to clinch
and Hidaka scores with a counter punch that sends Prescott to the canvas! Hidaka smells blood - he's punishing Prescott with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Prescott has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takehiko Hidaka!
A relieved looking Takehiko Hidaka thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
