Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc (ranked 4973 p4p, 4865 weight class) and Grant Gunterson (ranked 241 p4p, 234 weight class). Tlaloc comes to the cage accompanied by Llamado de Huitzilopochtli. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Gunterson! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunterson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tlaloc counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tlaloc throwing strikes from guard but Gunterson blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gunterson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tlaloc won't allow Gunterson to get back to his feet. Tlaloc postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Tlaloc throwing strikes from guard but Gunterson blocks nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunterson looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gunterson wants to sweep here but Tlaloc controlling him for the moment. Gunterson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tlaloc gets a double leg takedown into Gunterson's guard. Tlaloc throws a big right hand that misses. Gunterson trying to control the position.
Gunterson wants to get back to his feet but Tlaloc is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tlaloc throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gunterson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gunterson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Tlaloc has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tlaloc stops Gunterson from standing up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tlaloc accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gunterson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc has been cut. Tlaloc shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gunterson napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tlaloc is chipping away with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tlaloc sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Gunterson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunterson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tlaloc misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tlaloc really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tlaloc trying to control here.

Tlaloc tries to roll over but Gunterson keeps him under control. Gunterson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tlaloc connecting with a few gentle strikes. Tlaloc flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gunterson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tlaloc keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tlaloc misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Tlaloc looks for a takedown but Gunterson sprawls well. Gunterson misses with a series of wild punches.
Gunterson throws a combination that misses and Tlaloc counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tlaloc. Tlaloc is standing up over Gunterson. Gunterson looks to escape but Tlaloc dives into side control.
Tlaloc misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunterson can't do much from the bottom here. Gunterson tries to buck Tlaloc off but Tlaloc is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunterson wants to control but Tlaloc postures up. Tlaloc will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tlaloc working the ground and pound. Tlaloc fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tlaloc in side control, throwing shots but Gunterson defends. Sloppy strikes there by Tlaloc. Gunterson wants to control but Tlaloc postures up. Gunterson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tlaloc landing a few strikes. Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The ground and pound from Tlaloc seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Tlaloc working the ground and pound but Gunterson is defending the strikes. Gunterson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tlaloc connects with a decent elbow. Gunterson wants to get back to his feet. Gunterson tries to improve position but can't.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Tlaloc with that takedown attempt. Gunterson misses with a few strikes there.
Tlaloc fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gunterson looks to land a combination but Tlaloc avoids it well. Gunterson lunges at Tlaloc with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tlaloc's hand. Tlaloc shoots in and bounces Gunterson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Tlaloc prevents Gunterson from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunterson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gunterson working a defensive guard here.
Gunterson wants to stand and escape but Tlaloc is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc's cut. That's time! Tlaloc's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Gunterson cracks a nice hook into Tlaloc's ribs. Tlaloc is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Gunterson moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grant Gunterson! Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc was interviewed post fight and said 'Elbooka Doka Inagura'.
