Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rice Puto (ranked 1162 p4p, 2101 weight class) and Giorgi Gorgodze (ranked 152 p4p, 275 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Giorgi Gorgodze!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puto lands with a hook. Gorgodze tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Puto waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gorgodze.

Puto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gorgodze.

Puto is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at BANZAI COMBAT ACADEMY TOKYO that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Gorgodze misses with a takedown attempt - Puto sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Puto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Puto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
