Cross has chosen Irregular God as his entrance music. Simon Cross has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jesse Kim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 42 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Cross! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cross is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kim has his foot on Cross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cross works his way back into a safe position though. Cross forces his way into half guard. Cross is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kim doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cross. Cross passes the guard and advances to mount! Cross is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kim has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cross looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kim flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Kim throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Kim tries to reverse the position but Cross maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross is working for a guillotine from mount but Kim frees his head quite easily.
Feeble punches landing from Kim - he's mounted - they can't hurt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cross blocks Kim's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Cross is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kim to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kim shrugs it off. Cross is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kim can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kim really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cross has control of Kim's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kim regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Cross is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kim has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kim is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kim is working hard here to advance position. Cross is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Cross extends the arm and Kim is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Simon Cross! Simon Cross was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
