Johnson misses with a looping left.
Smeshomedov tries to clinch
and Johnson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Johnson lands a big head kick that sends Smeshomedov tumbling to the mat! Johnson takes a step backwards and waves Smeshomedov back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mike Smeshomedov has been cut.
Smeshomedov is looking to clinch.
Smeshomedov misses with a left hand
and Johnson counters with an inside leg kick.
Smeshomedov throws a lazy uppercut
and Johnson counters with a big right hand! Oh Smeshomedov is in trouble here! Johnson follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

After the fight, Jameel Johnson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
