Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Jackacy (ranked 1060 p4p, 1888 weight class) and Barry Parrish (ranked 112 p4p, 193 weight class). Jackacy's entrance music is Nkolo Akosunga - Lokua Kanza. A fine choice. Barry Parrish has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Mark Jackacy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Parrish! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackacy thows a left - swing and a miss! A big left from Parrish misses. Parrish throws the left hand but Jackacy avoids the punch easily. Jackacy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Parrish. Jackacy on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Parrish keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parrish looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jackacy throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Jackacy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jackacy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Jackacy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parrish.
Jackacy throws a body punch but Parrish moves out of range. Parrish swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackacy throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Parrish's head. Jackacy throws a predictable looking body shot
and Parrish counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jackacy swings and misses with a shot to the body and Parrish counters with a straight right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Parrish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackacy. A little jabbing left from Parrish on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parrish pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A telegraphed right hand from Jackacy misses the target. Jackacy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jackacy is rocked! Parrish lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jackacy at a distance.
Oh Jackacy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Parrish misses with a left hand and Jackacy counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nice defenses there by Jackacy. Jackacy seems to have got his legs back now. Jackacy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jackacy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
No joy there for Jackacy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice cross by Jackacy. Jackacy scores with a sloppy right hand. Parrish should have avoided that one. Parrish paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackacy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Parrish lands a slapping body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackacy throws a right and a left that Parrish avoids nicely. Parrish moves away from the strike by Jackacy. Jackacy bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Parrish lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jackacy falls backwards - clearly groggy! Parrish dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Parrish! After the fight, Barry Parrish was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. In defeat, Mark Jackacy stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors.'.
