Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rory Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas fails to land with a series of punches.
Lucas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hammond misses with a double jab.
Lucas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hammond throws a wild body kick that Lucas sees coming a mile off.
Lucas misses with a two punch combination.
Hammond takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hammond fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lucas to the ground. Hammond is now in Lucas's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammond is fighting to break Lucas's control of his arms but Lucas is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Let's hope that Lucas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hammond might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hammond looking to pass the guard.
Hammond trying to control the position from guard on top but Lucas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lucas controlling the position.
Hammond trying to move into half guard but instead Lucas has managed to sweep!
Hammond has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hammond looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hammond looking to control but Lucas passes into half guard.

Hammond is trying to get back to full guard.
Hammond misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Lucas not doing much here.
Lucas trying to mount his opponent but Hammond defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hammond is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lucas pulls his head out easily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hammond has his hands clasped together around Lucas's back. He's all about the action.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Lucas clobbers Hammond with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Lucas moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lucas is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Hammond shoots in looking for a takedown. Lucas tries to sprawl out of it but Hammond keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lucas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice straight punches there by Lucas. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lucas.

Hammond fails with a takedown attempt.
Lucas connects with a right hand. Hammond shakes it off.
Lucas's corner calls for a 1-2. Lucas obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lucas lands a left and a right that send Hammond crashing to the mat, dazed. Lucas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Hammond is rocked!
It looks like Billy Hammond has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lucas shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Hammond takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Lucas sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Hammond bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
