Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Russell Reed (ranked 4193 p4p, 4276 weight class) and Jakul DuVicius (ranked 437 p4p, 445 weight class). Reed comes to the ring accompanied by Like That. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Russell Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jakul DuVicius!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by DuVicius.
DuVicius feints a counter leg kick.
Nice defenses there by DuVicius.
Reed throws a sloppy head kick and DuVicius moves out of range easily.
Sloppy strikes from Reed. Those never looked like landing.
Reed tries to land a front kick but DuVicius steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Reed digs a good hook to DuVicius's body.
DuVicius looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Reed swings widly with a right hand
enabling DuVicius to counter with a crisp jab.
Reed misses with a low kick.
DuVicius is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Reed with a body shot.
DuVicius takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DuVicius dodges the punch combination from Reed.
DuVicius feints a counter leg kick.
Reed blocks a jab.
An attempted straight right counter from Reed misses the target.
Reed fails to land with a series of punches.
DuVicius follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Reed throws a series of strikes that have DuVicius backpedaling.
Reed jabs DuVicius right on the nose. DuVicius blinks but takes it well.
DuVicius throws a head kick that misses.
DuVicius slips a jab and a cross from Reed.
Reed misses with a double jab.
Reed throws a front kick aimed at DuVicius's knee but DuVicius avoids it well.
DuVicius on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
DuVicius lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Reed throws a hook to the side of DuVicius's head but DuVicius sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Reed misses with a few strikes there.
A big left from Reed misses.
Reed moves out of range of the body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reed sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
DuVicius throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Reed fails to land with a series of punches.
Reed swings for the body but DuVicius moves out of range.
Reed throws the kick towards the body but DuVicius avoids it.
Reed throws a head kick but DuVicius moves out of range.
Reed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting DuVicius counter with a right hand.
Reed loads up on a big right hand but DuVicius slips the punch.
A jab from Reed misses.
DuVicius tries a quick counter leg kick but Reed is wise to it.
DuVicius walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Reed checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
DuVicius throws a body shot but no joy.
DuVicius checks a low kick from Reed.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Reed misses with a wild combination.
Reed avoids the head kick by DuVicius.
DuVicius does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Russell Reed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
DuVicius with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Reed throws a right hand that misses
and DuVicius counters with a lovely shot to the body.
DuVicius lands with a good body shot.

and DuVicius counters with a right hand to the body.

Reed throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Reed missing with a left hand there. DuVicius was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
DuVicius ducks under a wild hook from Reed.
Reed throws a front kick aimed at DuVicius's knee but DuVicius avoids it well.
And DuVicius responds with a good body kick, but Reed manages to step out the way in time.

DuVicius swings for the body but Reed moves out of range.
It looked like Reed wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Nice shot by Reed.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Reed lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and DuVicius has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from DuVicius and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A countering left hand to the body from DuVicius misses.
DuVicius lands with an overhand left.
Reed lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but DuVicius circles away quickly and effectively.

Reed ducks into a a hook from DuVicius and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

It looks like Russell Reed has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reed slips a jab from DuVicius.
DuVicius misses with a body shot.
DuVicius getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Reed is rocked!
No joy there for Reed, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Reed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reed throws a body punch but DuVicius moves out of range.
Reed seems to have got his legs back now.
DuVicius throws the kick towards the body but Reed avoids it.

Nice cross by Reed.
Reed throws a jab but it's blocked by DuVicius.
DuVicius has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
DuVicius scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
DuVicius scoring well with a low kick there.
Reed pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces DuVicius back to the ropes. Reed follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Reed takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
DuVicius avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reed fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Reed looks to throw the jab but DuVicius is out of range.
The fighters circling - DuVicius throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reed scores with a decent looking hook.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jakul DuVicius takes that one, thanks to the knockdown.
The cut man is working on Russell Reed's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Reed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and DuVicius counters with a nice uppercut that drops Reed onto his backside! Reed bounces straight back to his feet before we have a chance to even start the count. He'll get the standing 8 count anyway before we get back underway.
Reed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from DuVicius. Reed does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but DuVicius moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
DuVicius looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Reed looks to land a combination. DuVicius sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by DuVicius.
DuVicius only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Reed definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Reed throws a counter high kick but DuVicius was just alert enough to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Reed lands an impressive looking overhand right. DuVicius doesn't seem phased though.

Russell Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reed walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from DuVicius! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jakul DuVicius!
A relieved looking Jakul DuVicius thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
