These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fries scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silva doesn't seem bothered though.

Silva has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Fries seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Silva can turn it around.

Fries creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Silva crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5, yes, he's made it back to his feet. He seems OK so it looks like we're going to continue!

Fries weaves into range and cracks Silva right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Silva goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Fries is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
