And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 20 losses; Mean Gean!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Gean feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've been hearing good reports from Alopodis's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gean isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alopodis stacks Gean on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alopodis!
