Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Petrov (ranked 4193 p4p, 2782 weight class) and Mohammad Rosario (ranked 317 p4p, 241 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mohammad Rosario! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosario throws a right and a left that Petrov avoids nicely. Rosario throws a series of punches but Petrov avoids them all with ease. Petrov looks for a takedown but Rosario sprawls well. Nice takedown defense from Rosario. No joy for Petrov on that attempt. A combination from Rosario does no damage. Rosario scores with a three punch combo!
Jab by Rosario. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rosario!
Petrov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimitri Petrov. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Rosario, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petrov needs to keep his hands up - Rosario had a free shot at his head there. Petrov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sloppy strikes from Rosario. Those never looked like landing. Petrov lands a body shot.
Rosario keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Petrov. Mohammad Rosario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Rosario.
Rosario fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Petrov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rosario sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Petrov somewhat. Petrov shoots for a takedown but Rosario saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A nice combination there by Rosario.
Rosario throws a series of strikes that have Petrov backpedaling.
Petrov is rocked! Rosario lands with a big right hook that stumbles Petrov - he's out on his feet here! Rosario follows up with another monster hook that separates Petrov from consciousness! Petrov falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Rosario stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mohammad Rosario!
