Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eishuu Retsu (ranked 3796 p4p, 3487 weight class) and Jujitsu John (ranked 452 p4p, 425 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eishuu Retsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jujitsu John!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Retsu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract John.
Retsu lands with a slapping head kick.
Retsu misses with a two punch combination.
John fails with a takedown attempt.
Retsu throws a head kick that misses.
Retsu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
John shoots in for a takedown but Retsu shows good takedown defense.
John takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Retsu misses with a jab to the body
and John counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
John wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Retsu, who protects the arm well.
Retsu tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Retsu is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Retsu is pushing John's head away, looking to escape. John manages to hold on to the position though.
Retsu is trying to get back to half guard.
John thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Retsu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Retsu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of John's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take John's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
John has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Retsu.

John defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Retsu's arms.
Retsu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for John on the ground.

Retsu throws strikes from the back but John rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by John.
Retsu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as John works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Retsu content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because John has locked up a guillotine! John's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Retsu is holding on here and John must be using up a lot of energy. Retsu has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! John gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
