Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bernard McCurtney (ranked 1946 p4p, 2584 weight class) and Zaid Sims (ranked 130 p4p, 158 weight class). McCurtney kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Wonton Soup”. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zaid Sims!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCurtney goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sims shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sims dodges the punch combination from McCurtney.
Sims feints the counter takedown.
Sims moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
No joy there for McCurtney, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And Sims tries to counter it with a takedown but McCurtney pushes his down on his head and steps out.
McCurtney throws a series of punches but Sims avoids them all with ease.
McCurtney throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sims on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McCurtney. McCurtney obviously looking to wear him down.

McCurtney will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McCurtney scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sims doesn't seem bothered though.
Sims gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCurtney scores with a one two! Sims had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
McCurtney is looking to wear down Sims with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Sims takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sims throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCurtney's waist but McCurtney gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sims off to one side.
