Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deimos Arima (ranked 3409 p4p, 3595 weight class) and Scherwin Blake (ranked 415 p4p, 434 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arima sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blake's guard.

Arima is rocked!
Blake throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Arima's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Blake dives in looking to finish as Arima flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Blake's strikes! Blake is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Arima's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Arima was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
