Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nurislam Alieva (ranked 2618 p4p, 3685 weight class) and Hobert Nye (ranked 305 p4p, 411 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hobert Nye!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alieva looking to score a takedown here. Nye is defending well but Alieva drives through and ends up in Nye's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alieva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nye is keeping the position for now.
Nye wants to stand and escape but Alieva is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alieva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nye keeping moving, preventing Alieva from controlling successfully.
Nye has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Alieva has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Nye is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Alieva is defending well for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
