PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buan Chaka (ranked 2071 p4p, 3261 weight class) and Joey Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo misses with a takedown attempt

and Chaka holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Castillo manages to pull guard.
Chaka lands a couple of elbows.

Castillo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Chaka drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Castillo dives on top into guard.

Chaka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Castillo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chaka has his foot on Castillo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Castillo works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chaka looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Castillo has picked Chaka up and slammed him! Chaka can't keep hold of the triangle and Castillo manages to pass to side control!

Castillo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Chaka is defending well though. Castillo let's go of the attempt for now.

Castillo closes the distance but Chaka moves to the side

and Chaka counters with a single leg into guard. Castillo didn't expect that.

A big strike lands for Chaka! That's really hurt Castillo and he's turned his back - Chaka keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Chaka jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
