The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Valverde has a takedown stuffed. Valverde fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Chai is concentrating on defense, preventing Valverde from advancing position. Valverde tries to pass to full mount but Chai defends it. Valverde frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
