Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Augustus Heath (ranked 1957 p4p, 21624 weight class) and Mitch McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying McGee's choice of entrance music: Survivor - Eye of the Tiger. Mitch McGee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heath showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McGee.
A little feinted left hand from Heath on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Good standup being displayed there by Heath as he connects with a hook.
Heath scores with a punch to the head.
McGee throws a nice looking combination but Heath bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Decent striking displayed by Heath there.
McGee throws a right and a left that Heath avoids nicely.
McGee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Heath connects with a good right hand that stumbles McGee. McGee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McGee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Heath circles away quickly and effectively.
McGee throws a series of punches but Heath avoids them all with ease.
An attempted straight right counter from Heath misses the target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Heath fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGee manages to avoid it.
Mitch McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been hearing reports that Heath has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

McGee moves forwards but Heath connects with a nice, crisp jab.

McGee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Heath lands with a good body shot.

Heath comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Heath slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McGee is rocked!
McGee gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Heath points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. McGee wakes up just in time to hear Heath thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

After winning the bout, Augustus Heath thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
