Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alfonz Novak (ranked 1768 p4p, 2774 weight class) and Bruce Kiwi (ranked 197 p4p, 299 weight class). Novak comes to the cage accompanied by A Tout Le Monde - Megadeth. Kiwi has chosen Reaper as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfonz Novak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Kiwi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novak closes the distance and clinches.
The referee calls for Kiwi to work.
Novak blocks a body shot from Kiwi.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
A body shot lands from Kiwi.
We've been hearing reports that Novak has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kiwi misses with a body punch.
Kiwi tries to work over Novak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kiwi lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Novak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A low kick from Kiwi misses
and Novak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kiwi's guard.
Novak working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kiwi's head.
Kiwi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiwi is looking to cinch up a triangle. Novak throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kiwi's body to avoid the submission. Kiwi has instead reached around Novak's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kiwi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bruce Kiwi!
