Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 23392 p4p, 23332 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 77 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 57 - 60 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nada looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kiang is fending him off so far but Nada persists. Nope, Kiang circles away and we're back to standing. Nada changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kiang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kiang can't do much from the bottom here. Nada just content to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The strikes coming from Nada are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang parries the strikes from Nada easily there. Nada is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kiang to escape.
Nada trying to control the position but Kiang is working away. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Nada taking a breather here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kiang defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kiang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nada fails to land the takedown. Yawa Kiang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada. Nada looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kiang is fending him off so far but Nada persists. Nope, Kiang circles away and we're back to standing. Kiang is looking to counter with a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kiang's guard. Nada is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kiang wants to stand but Nada is controlling the position. Kiang trying to control the position here. Nada with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kiang is pulling down on Nada's head to control his posture. Kiang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kiang gets a double leg takedown into Nada's guard. Nada controlling Kiang's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada is continuing to stall. Nada's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kiang stopping the sweep attempt from Nada.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nada slaps away a takedown attempt from Kiang, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nada is trying to counter with his kicks. Kiang looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada wants to sweep here but Kiang controlling him for the moment. Nada is pulling down on Kiang's head to control his posture. Nada being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nada seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kiang not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Kiang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kiang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nada shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is positioning himself well to prevent Nada advancing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang wants to get back to full guard. Kiang trying to control but Nada postures up.
Nada not doing much here.
Kiang blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nada. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kiang is looking for a sweep. Nada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kiang wants to control but Nada is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nada misses with a takedown and Kiang counters with a nice body kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kiang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nada kicks Kiang off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Nada. No joy for Kiang on that attempt. Despite the aggression on Nada's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yawa Kiang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kiang leaves Nada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kiang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kiang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nada. Kiang tries for a takedown but Nada sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nada tries a quick counter leg kick but Kiang is wise to it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kiang counters with a nice body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Way Nada comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Nada has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
