Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 1025 p4p, 3247 weight class) and Cavalho Atunes (ranked 137 p4p, 397 weight class). Anstey's entrance music is Let's hear it for the boy. A fine choice. Atunes has chosen Makeba as his entrance music. Corwin Anstey could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cavalho Atunes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cavalho Atunes! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anstey stands and throws Atunes's legs to the side, diving into side control. Atunes is not content to let Anstey control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Atunes tries to buck Anstey off but Anstey is having none of it. Atunes can't do much from the bottom here.

Atunes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Anstey tries to move into full mount but can't pass Atunes's legs. Atunes regains half guard, as Anstey was trying to land strikes. Anstey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Atunes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Anstey working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Anstey is keen to just control but Atunes is a slippery customer. Anstey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Atunes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
