Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Zuev (ranked 2131 p4p, 3367 weight class) and Juan David Franco (ranked 289 p4p, 406 weight class). Franco is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bullet For My Valentine- Tears Don't Fall. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleksandr Zuev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan David Franco! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zuev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Franco. Franco throws a right hand that Zuev ducks under and follows up with a left that Zuev also avoids with ease. A left lands for Zuev. Franco misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zuev. Zuev lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Franco lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Zuev dodges the punch combination from Franco.
Zuev throws the kick towards the body but Franco avoids it. Zuev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Franco. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Franco throws a combination that misses and Zuev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Zuev smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Zuev closes the distance and clinches.
Zuev manages to break the clinch.
Zuev lands a front kick.
Zuev pushes Franco up against the cage in a clinch. Zuev lands on the inside with an uppercut.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Zuev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zuev throws a one two combo.
 Franco is rocked! Zuev drops Franco with a big left hand! Franco is injured, injured bad! Zuev jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aleksandr Zuev! Aleksandr Zuev was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
