Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlaimir Cuschenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Lafleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cuschenko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to T.A.T.U - Prostye Dvizhen'ya. Jacob Lafleur has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vlaimir Cuschenko's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vlaimir Cuschenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacob Lafleur! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuschenko has managed to clinch.
Lafleur's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cuschenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cuschenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Lafleur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cuschenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cuschenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cuschenko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cuschenko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Cuschenko wants to control from the top but Lafleur keeps moving. Cuschenko has hold of Lafleur's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lafleur manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cuschenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cuschenko with shots to the head and body - Lafleur looks very uncomfortable down there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lafleur is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cuschenko is landing with some decent strikes but Lafleur is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Cuschenko tries a low kick but Lafleur avoids it. Lafleur takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lafleur throws a right and a left that both miss. Cuschenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cuschenko drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lafleur looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lafleur looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lafleur! You can see the frustration on Cuschenko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lafleur is looking to take a break and control but Cuschenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lafleur really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cuschenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cuschenko tries to buck Lafleur off but Lafleur is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cuschenko can't do much from the bottom here. Cuschenko throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Cuschenko is trying to control Lafleur's posture but Lafleur avoids it. Cuschenko tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lafleur doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cuschenko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cuschenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cuschenko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lafleur is defending against the submission attempts here by Cuschenko.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cuschenko lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that's the end of the fight! Vlaimir Cuschenko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cuschenko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
