The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Hughes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hughes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stevenson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Stevenson shoots in but no luck this time.
Stevenson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hughes as he jumps to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stevenson has managed to clinch.

Hughes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hughes leaves Stevenson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

And Stevenson tries to counter it with a takedown but Hughes pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Hughes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hughes shoots in looking for a takedown but Stevenson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hughes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stevenson throws a right and a left that Hughes avoids nicely.

It seemed like Stevenson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hughes paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stevenson lands a leg kick that knocks Hughes off balance momentarily.
Hughes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Trevin Hughes will probably get the nod.
That's time! Hughes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Stevenson dives in and grabs Hughes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes down on Stevenson's head and hops out.

Hughes is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Stevenson's shoulder. That is not cool.

Hughes gets to mount! Stevenson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stevenson covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Hughes has the hooks in. Stevenson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Stevenson is trying to stand back up.
Hughes gets his hands free as Stevenson looks to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stevenson tries to escape but Hughes has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hughes shoots in for a double leg but Stevenson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hughes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stevenson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Trevin Hughes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hughes tries to pass to full mount but Stevenson defends it.
Hughes is trying to control the action in half guard but Stevenson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hughes decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Hughes takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Stevenson misses with a takedown attempt - Hughes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stevenson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hughes pinned against the cage. Hughes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hughes will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Stevenson up against the cage.

Trevin Hughes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hughes comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
