Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Rojas (ranked 1146 p4p, 2029 weight class) and Ralph Cifaretto (ranked 150 p4p, 257 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Rojas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Cifaretto!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cifaretto feints and as Rojas raises his hands in defense, Cifaretto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cifaretto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rojas defends it well.
Cifaretto seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rojas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Rojas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rojas lands a jab to Cifaretto's midsection.
Cifaretto takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cifaretto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rojas finds it's way round the side to connect with Cifaretto's head.
Cifaretto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rojas as he jumps to the side.
Cifaretto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cifaretto or perhaps it was just good defense by Rojas, which made it look bad.
Cifaretto on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Rojas closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Cifaretto out cold! Cifaretto corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
